2025 IAM Distinguished International Scholar is Professor Susi Geiger, University College Dublin.

Enacting an Ethics of Care in Academic Research, featuring Professor Susi Geiger, in conversation with Dr. Nicole Gross, National College of Ireland. Professor Susi Geiger is Full Professor of Markets, Organisations and Society at UCD College of Business. Educated in Germany, France and Ireland, her research sits at the intersection of economic sociology, organization studies and market studies - with a focus on digital and pharmaceutical markets. Susi is the only Irish female business scholar to receive a prestigious €2 million ERC Consolidator Grant and has published extensively in leading international journals including Journal of Management Studies, Organization Studies, Journal of Business Ethics, and Economy & Society. Prof. Geiger has also served as a member of the WHO Technical Advisory Group on Pharmaceutical Pricing Policies, is the ERC Ambassador for Ireland (2025), and has held over €10 million in research grants. Her career reflects a deep commitment to research excellence, care-driven leadership, and societal impact. Her award presentation, “Enacting an Ethics of Care in Academic Research,” will explore how and why she engages in an ethics of care in her academic work, offer practical ways to integrate this approach into research, and consider the future of care-centred scholarship. The event will be facilitated by Dr. Nicole Gross (National College of Ireland).
