Under the Paris Agreement, many governments of developing countries have committed to ‘greening’ their economies. But can emerging economies go green – and still remain competitive? In June 2018 the German Development Institute / Deutsches Institut für Entwicklungspolitik (DIE) invited experts from all over the world to elaborate alternatives to ‘grow first and clean up later’ strategies. The effort is part of the Klimalog project (www.klimalog.info).
