Our Captains of Industry Talks is a series of online talks where graduates and students hear from a range of inspirational industry leaders. They are an opportunity to hear first-hand from experts in their field regarding their career journey, lessons learned, and some words of advice for our students and graduates. In the year that COP 26 will bring world leaders to Glasgow for critical discussions on tackling the climate emergency, our speakers will share details on their contributions and commitment to sustainability. First in our series for the new academic year is GCU graduate and Chief Operating Officer of ACS Clothing, Anthony Burns on Thursday 14th October at 4pm (UK time). Anthony is a recognised champion of sustainable fashion, and has developed a global centre of expertise in the servitisation of rented garments. He is an Engineering Graduate with a Masters in Logistics and also an MBA. He is dedicated to both his, and his team’s continuous professional development. Anthony’s mission is to improve the sustainability of the fashion industry, and be more socially accountable, while accelerating maintainable increases in the company’s profitability.
