In this video, you will learn How tmount the smart valve positioner on a spring-return actuator of a solenoid valve. The MVQ series of smart valve sensors offer a range of functionality to suit your application. Designed for monitoring and/or control of quarter-turn valves, the MVQ series is a noncontact inductive sensor that replaces mechanical limit switches with a more reliable option. The MVQ301 smart valve positioner provides a direct connection from the sensor to the solenoid valve. The benefit is that valve position can be changed by the sensor itself within a process, resulting in more immediate control of valve position. This sensor is a great fit for: • Food & Beverage Manufacturing • Cooling loop circuits • Water filtration skids • Industrial process flow of liquid ingredients The embedded IO-Link technology simplifies installation and programming, while also increasing resolution so you can see 0.1 degree increment changes in valve position. The visual feedback indicator on top of the valve provides quick insight into valve position status while out on the plant floor. In this video, we use an MVQ301 sensor and ZZ0687 for the required pneumatic components for position control, but this video also applies to the MVQ201 article number. The MVQ series is compatible with double acting valves, spring-return valves, and double acting valves with defined safety positions.
