Before I started making AI-assisted music I experimented with AI video generation to tell stories. After realizing how difficult it is to tell a coherent story without any "AI slop" and inconsistencies using the (then current, circa May 2025) models available in LTX Studio, I decided to change my own approach to work with the AI instead of against it. So I created this sci-fi psychological thriller/mystery about a police detective investigating a homicide by "memory-diving" into the victims memories via their brain-computer interface. Detective Lana soon begins to suspect her own memories may be corrupted as a result of her investigation. To get consistent characters, I used pre-trained LoRAs provided by LTX Studio. Due to the AI incoherence, I used a narrator to tell the story. I left most of the AI slop in since it is no longer slop, but part of the story! For any other NERDS out there (besides myself), this is an interesting PubMed article about BCI's. https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles... Also, I highly recommend watching at least season 1 of Psycho-Pass for a glimpse at a futuristic dystopian society where "thought police" exist. That could be our future reality....but hopefully not.
