A Second World War fighter training airfield in Gloucestershire, RAF Chedworth was a substantial site. With much of the airfield now demolished, there are still a few places you can go to find some remarkably intact archaeology. In this 360 video, I visit the WAAF site, the segregated camp for the Women's Auxiliary Air Force who would have worked in large numbers at the airfield during its peak. Some of the standing remains are the ablution block, a blast shelter and a buried air raid shelter. For the first time, I have recorded a real-time commentary, talking through what we find and some of the often overlooked features of abandoned military sites.
