ENGINE EXPLODES AT 170 MPH ON BIG NITROUS PRO MOD DRAG BIKE, RACER SAVES MOTORCYCLE FROM NASTY CRASH

Enjoy this complete round of nighttime qualifying from one of the most entertaining classes in all of Motorcycle drag racing, the nitrous fed Pro Mod Drag Bike missiles. There is a real scare in this video as birthday boy Eric McKinney’s engine blows up at a high rate of speed. The ambulance at South Georgia Motorsports Park rushes into action and onlookers hope for the best. Fortunately McKinney was able to make the save when his Suzuki GS got out of shape. We see McKinney later in the video and he reports that it was a crankshaft failure that caused the issue. The now 70-year drag racing legend Paul Gast of Fast by Gast leads things off and just misses a three second run by 6-thousandths of a second. Also competing in this class is Mike Chongris, Jeff House, Kawasaki Connell Smith, T.T. Jones, Jack Young, Chris Garner-Jones, Ricardo Knights, Brunson Grothus, Terry Wynn, Spencer Allen, Terry Schweigert, Kenny Hill, first man in the 3s Ashley Owens and 2017 PDRA champion Travis Davis of Timblin Chassis.
