We can’t always control what happens in our lives, but we can definitely control how we react to those things. When we are faced with adversity it’s most important to try to reframe it as best we can and use what we can to turn it into a positive or a learning experience. Instead of dwelling on the negative aspects of getting laid off and sending myself into a tailspin, I thought about it rationally and methodically in order to try to use this time as constructively as possible.
