✨Proud teacher moment✨ Teaching won’t necessarily make you rich but the experiences can be priceless. Teaching has taught me that no-thing (in music or in life) is put on a platform without first being perfected in a practice room. This video is a testament of that. Last year, I had the honor of sharing the stage with one of my incredible students, Julia Basile (TKA c/o ’25), who had a work ethic that even surpassed her talent. Together, we performed a duet of Phil Collins’ “Against All Odds” with the TKA Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of the amazing Wes Lowe, Director of Instrumental Arts. Fast forward to today—Julia is now continuing her musical journey as a student at FSU School of Music. Watching her growth from high school to college, and knowing where she’s headed, makes me so proud. 🌟 This is why I teach. To help young people SEE THE SOUND that is within them!
