A rope is pretty useless without one thing: Some kind of end termination! 🤯 Whether knotted, spliced or manufactured – In this little series we will have a look at various rope terminations and specifically will take a closer look at the Splice. We'll dissect the most common eye types for textile ropes – the versatile knot, the classic sewn eye, and the mighty, beautiful splice – uncovering their advantages and limitations. And we play a little bit around with commonly used end terminations for wired ropes like pressed eyes as well as molded eyes on textile ropes. And of course we will break them.
