#Delhicrime #bawana #Puthkhurd #delhimurder #Delhipolice Rising crime in Delhi continues to remain a major concern. In a shocking incident, a 24-year-old youth was shot dead late Saturday night in the Pooth Khurd area under Bawana police station of Outer North Delhi. The brutal killing has created panic in the locality and left residents shocked. The deceased has been identified as Bhupendra alias Bholu (24), a resident of Pana Basti Wara in Pooth Khurd village. According to police, he lived with his family which includes his father Kuldeep, mother, a brother and a sister. His father works as an engineer in a private electricity distribution company. Bhupendra was pursuing his graduation from Delhi University. According to family members, Bhupendra left home on Saturday evening on his scooter, telling them that he was going to meet a friend. Around 10 PM, he spoke with his family on the phone and told them he would return home soon. However, he did not return that night. When he did not come back for a long time, the family became worried and tried calling him repeatedly, but his phone was not answered. They then contacted his friends and relatives, but no one had any information about his whereabouts. Early Sunday morning, some villagers noticed a body lying near Raj Vatika and Sultanpur Road in Pooth Khurd. When they went closer, they saw that the youth was lying in a pool of blood. The villagers immediately informed the family. When the family members reached the spot, they identified the body as Bhupendra. The scene left the family devastated and inconsolable. During the preliminary investigation, police found that Bhupendra had been shot six to seven times. The attackers appeared to have fired from close range, indicating a clear intention to kill him. Police also recovered Bhupendra’s scooter, wallet and mobile phone from near the crime scene. Since these items were intact, police have ruled out robbery as the motive behind the murder. Sources claim that Bhupendra reportedly had links with associates of a notorious gangster, and he was known to interact with some of the gangster’s men. Therefore, police are also investigating the possibility of a gang rivalry behind the murder. At the same time, investigators have learned that Bhupendra’s family was involved in a property dispute with some individuals, which could also be a possible motive for the crime. After receiving the information, teams from the Crime Branch and the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) reached the spot and collected important evidence. Outer North District Deputy Commissioner of Police Hareshwar V. Swami stated that four police teams have been formed to investigate the case. Police are scanning CCTV footage from nearby areas and questioning local residents to identify the suspects. The murder has created fear among villagers. Residents say that such a brutal shooting in the area has raised serious concerns about safety. Meanwhile, Bhupendra’s family is in deep shock and grief. The family members insist that Bhupendra had no personal enmity with anyone and have demanded strict action against the culprits. This incident once again raises serious questions about the increasing crime rate in the national capital. Police are continuing their investigation and are hoping to identify and arrest the accused soon.
