I’m always on the lookout for some healthy comfort food and Khao Soi is one of my favorites. In this vlog, I travel down into the deep territory of Bangkok to taste my favorite Thai comfort food, Khao Soi, at this highly rated spot. My day started with a disappointing experience at the Luxury hotel I was staying in. I am not one to go for luxury expensive hotel, but on all my trips, I like to spend at least one night at a high-end spot as a way to say that I have experienced all ends of my adventure in a country. The night before this video was shot, I got hungry at night, so I went down to a 7-11 and bought some snacks and a noodle soup. I dropped some of the food o the bed and it got dirty. I noticed the dirty spot the next morning and knew that room service will come and clean it. I also left the bed unmade, and the spot uncovered to make sure they see it. After going out and shooting the video, I came back and checked the bed and realized that the food stain was still there underneath the newly added sheets. It really blew my mind that housekeeping and room service would do something like that at a luxury 5-star expensive hotel ($220 per night). I only had the camera to vent to. But my day got better as I went to eat some comfort food. Khao Soi is the true gateway dish into a full-fledged Thai culture. I made it to this secret alley in Bangkok's Khlong Toie district where this humble gem of a place was hidden. The staff were very nice and welcoming, and I felt ready to dig into my favorite Thai dish. After the first taste, I felt the spicy kick. But then I started to get used to it and I devoured that dish like nothing. It was so delicious with an explosion of taste in my mouth. Delicious Coconut curry at its best. Such an incredible feeling after I finished the dish. I would recommend this place to all the Khao Soi lovers. It is a hidden gem in the midst of Bangkok's bustling crowded streets and alleys.
