It tells you, at that point in time, what assets such as cash in the bank, inventory or real estate that company has and what liabilities it has, such as for example debt to suppliers. Subtract the liabilities from the assets and you'll have the net worth of the company at that point in time, also called equity. 2) The income statement, also called the profit and loss statement, does exactly what its name suggests: it gives you a summary of the revenue and expenses generated by a company over the reporting period. 3) The cash flow statement also has an intuitive name and tells us how much actual cash and cash equivalents entered and left the company over the reporting period. If for example the management reports considerably higher profits but there hasn't been that much of a net cash flow increase, you as an investor have valid reasons to be a bit skeptical. So, as a short recap: the balance sheet helps you determine the net worth of a company, the income statement shows you how profitable it is and the cash flow statement tells you things such as whether or not the profit numbers are believable. #learning #learnanimation #tutorial
