So, Phase 1 of Version 2.8 is introducing a brand-new 5-star character, and her name is Chisa. And oh my god, she looks incredible. She’s a Havoc character who uses these massive scissor-like broadblades as her weapon, — it’s such a bold design choice. Chisa isn’t your typical DPS, she’s actually a support character. She’s what we call a universal DOT support. Basically, she can enhance any character that uses damage-over-time mechanics, or what we like to call “DOT”,— things like Spectro Frazzle, Havoc Bane, Aero Erosion, and other effects that slowly eat away at enemies. But wait, that’s not all for Version 2.8. Because we’re also getting a brand new 4-star Electro character,— Buling. Now, let’s talk about those rerun banners, because I know that’s what everyone’s been waiting for. While it’s not confirmed yet,— and you know how early info can be.— According to what Seele shared, Phase 1 will feature Poebe and Chisa, and Phase 2 might bring back Phrolova and Cantarella. And yes, I can already hear the questions, — “Where’s Cartethyia?” or “Why is Cantarella rerunning again?” Believe me, I get it. But remember, this is all early info. Things can change any time. The moment I get confirmed updates, I’ll let you know right away. So, no need to stress — we’re in this together, and I’ll keep you covered. Now, let’s talk about the new city that’s probably coming in Version 2.8. From what I’ve seen, the update seems to be themed around a large, Japan-inspired region. Honami City— or should I say *New Honami City,* — looks to be the main highlight here. Personally, I think the city teased in Chisa’s drip marketing is actually Honami City. What do you guys think? Now, based on the usual Wuthering Waves schedule, the beta tends to drop just a few days after the drip marketing starts. So, if everything follows the same pattern, we can expect the 2.8 beta to go live around October 17th or 18th, or if it’s slightly delayed, maybe by October 20th at the latest.
