I honestly hated this fight as Lancelot since his normal attacks are trash against Versa's hitbox. You can be standing right in front of Versa, touching him, and Lancelot will still whiff half his normal attacks. That's why I just spam Twin Blade Dance between skills. It's also why I don't want to grind for better boss RNG - e.g. get a run where he doesn't use his "dash" phase, which kills so much time. Fight notes: Main strategy I used was to cancel all of his Hell Flares using either Glaciate or SBA. Holding block during Twin Blade Dance makes it so that even if you fail your "dodge", you still block. During Insanis, I tried to use Invincibility frames from perfect dodges to keep attacking him. You have a larger window if you use Twin Blade Dance followed by a dodge cancel. I deliberately chose not to go the route of breaking him before the first DPS check. Because if I did, his DPS check counts as his 2nd Overdrive, which has increased damage reduction. This actually makes it very tight to pass as Lancelot, though still possible but you need all skills up. I got hit once during the dash phase. Think I was zoning out (thinking about restarting) and let go of block before dodging...
