How to Dye Glow In The Dark Acrylic Yarn (2.0)

2 years ago, I experimented with dying my own acrylic glow in the dark yarn because I didn't like how thin the yarn available was or the low yardage for a price. Call it my, "there's gotta be a better way" lightbulb moment. This year, with more filming practice acquired, I decided to make a few improvements to my process and share it with you all. Materials: *1 skein of 7 oz White Acrylic Yarn (split into 2 hanks) *4 oz of Non Toxic Glow in the Dark Acrylic Craft Paint *Something to stir with (whisk works great) *Some type of basin large enough for your hank of yarn Directions: 1. Fill basin with warm/hot water about halfway depending on the size. 2. Soak both hanks of yarn in the water making sure all the strands are soaked. Be sure to look where you tied your hanks. 3. Wring out both hanks and set to the side. 4. Pour 4oz of Glow in the dark acrylic craft paint into the basin slowly as you stir with your whisk. Make sure to scratch against the whole bottom with the whisk to make sure the paint isn't settling on the bottom. 5. Lay both hanks into the water paint mixture and begin to squeeze the yarn in it. Just like making sure the yarn was soaked with water fully, make sure yarn is soaked with the mixture. Alternate flipping the hanks over a few times with squeezing them in the paint to ensure they are fully soaked. 6. Let hanks sit in the solution for at least 45 minutes. 7. Flip hanks over and squeeze with mixture again. Let sit another 45 minutes 8. Wring out excess mixture solution from hanks. 9. Hang to dry outside in direct sunlight (preferred). 10.
