Established in 2001, it is the first conservatory of music in Singapore. The conservatory was renamed in 2003 in honor of Yong Siew Toh after a significant donation from the Yong Loo Lin Trust. The conservatory offers a comprehensive Bachelor of Music (Honours) degree, with 20 different majors available, including instrumental performance, composition, voice, and audio arts and sciences. It also offers a Master of Music (MMus) and a Master of Music Leadership (MMusL) for graduate students, focusing on advanced music study and industry leadership. The institution is known for its vibrant artistic environment, providing students with numerous performance opportunities, masterclasses, and international exchanges. The Yong Siew Toh Conservatory maintains a student body of around 220 undergraduates, all of whom receive full financial support.
