Spring Century, Poughkeepsie - Brooklyn, Empire State Trail

A 100 mile ride down from Poughkeepsie to Brooklyn. You can follow the Empire State Trail the whole way, but I didn't anticipate it being so snowy. Lotta cyclocross vibes, at some points I had to get off and walk it where it was deep/sketchy enough... eventually had to peel off and hit some roads. I kept dipping back to the trail but it wasn't till around Peekskill where it felt clear enough to really ride. This time I tried the neck camera mount and just took video when inspired, then just stitched it all into a timeline. Back home, I recorded a pass improvising on acoustic guitar... it was a funny exercise, watching the footage on my phone propped on my knee and playing to it. First real big spring day here in NYC - everyone was out for golden hour on the west side. Lotta happy people :) Kind of a proof of concept vid - everything - tech, process, gear, settings - is a first time, but one of the joys of this, beyond the pure bliss that is biking lol, is the directness of output - i'm not doing multiple versions or edits, just making it, uploading it, deleting it off the phone.
