Sometimes there aren't any good choices following standard procedures and you have to get a little creative. That was the case with this run. This oversize load was 14'9" and the last overpass before our exit was 14'9"... it wasn't going to fit. The ramp for Exit 107 on NY-17 in Thompson, NY was the wrong type of ramp to do traditional ramping. The ramp went off in the wrong direction and the little crossover on the ramp to get to the on-ramp was too small and had a 3' ditch on either side so a U-turn was also not possible. We had to get creative and this is what we came up with.. Route surveys and pilot cars provided by Patriot Certified Pilot cars LLC. This load was moved by SM Gallivan LLC.
