Demo messing around on my ridiculously circuit-bent Roland TR-626 which is at this point (mostly?) done. Aside from the hard-wired mods, it's got an Arduino Mega controlling a crosspoint grid of 384 analog switches (48x8) via a 5" 800x480 touchscreen. It also has a keypad to save and recall patches to 512 user memory slots. (AKA - Goodbye Patch Cables!!!) With the TR-626 hooked up at 47 bend points on 8 separate 'patch bays', I haven't even BEGUN to scratch the surface of the sounds this thing can make! Plus when I find a cool bend, I can just save it with the keypad! The program I wrote can save 4 banks of 128 user memory slots to EEPROM. Each slot can hold one 'patch' or 'bend'. Up to 8 patches can be loaded and audible at any given time. So the possibilities really do seem endless... (Note- Audio for this video is from the lines out of the Roland TR-626. No additional effects were applied. Also, with all bends turned off the sound returns to pure stock Roland 80's goodness!)
