Her academic achievements include a Doctor of Business Administration in Public Policy, a Master of Business Administration in Human Resource Management, a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and Management Studies, and certifications in Public Policy Analysis, Television & Radio Broadcasting, Alternate Dispute Resolution, and Protocol and Event Management. Dr. Edwards-Joseph has represented Trinidad and Tobago at various international Human Resource events and in 2015 was awarded the Public Service Medal of Merit (Gold). Her previous professional experience includes her membership on the Tobago Regional Health Authority (TRHA) Board and her service as Deputy Director and Director of Personnel Administration at the Service Commissions Department for the periods 2000-2005 and 2005-2014 respectively. Currently, Dr. Edwards-Joseph is a Human Resource Consultant to the Tobago House of Assembly (THA), where she provides specialist HR advice to the Office of the Chief Secretary and all other Departments under the THA and is the Advisor to the Chief Administrator on Human Resource matters. She is also a Member of the Human Resource Management Association of Trinidad and Tobago (HRMATT) and a Member of the Anglia Ruskin University Quality Assurance Committee.
