Here’s a tutorial of a tune ‘Al Monte’ by the Miami based group PALO! I’ve had numerous requests for this song over the past year or so and to tell you the truth, up until now I’ve never heard it. It’s not exactly my cup of tea, however the Tumbao played on the Tres throughout the entire song is fantastic. It’s a very simple progression with a touch of syncopation that gives it that Changüí flavor. For the tutorial I'm tuned to standard C (GCE) and I'm playing my Sitka Spruce Baby Taylor Tres.
