She is also highly dedicated to classical music and often uses her training as a means of developing her own style as a singer-songwriter. She began writing music at a rather early age and often explores the themes of love, loss, regret and freedom. As a Canadian artist, she aspires to not only touch the hearts of those around her, but provide her music to people all around the world in hopes of making a difference. Her first published single, "Finding Hope," was written for her school play at the age of sixteen. "Finding Hope" is a sincere reflection on the importance of having hope, even during the darkest moments of one's life. This single was inspired by the Syrian refugee crisis and quickly became a popular hit in her hometown. HOW I CAME UP WITH THIS SONG & ITS MEANING - I wrote it for my school play when I was 16! At first, it was about my mental health experience and I thought that's what the play's main topic would be, but the subject matter actually ended up being about Syrian refugees! At that point, the meaning of the song changed for me, because I realized the song is really about the struggles of humankind in general and how we navigate through difficult times. We all go through different, hard experiences and travel our own "long roads," but it's important to always keep on for the sake of hope and remember that others deal with struggles of their own.
