The fourth of six episodes where Richard and Elvis tell the story of William Brewer and the Whitney Geological Survey who in 1864 became the first explorers to set foot into the area of Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks. Their adventures are recaptured following the same trail, climbing the same mountains and viewing the same dramatic discoveries some 158 years later. This episode uncovers the five members of the Brewer expedition and resolves how to go about climbing Mt Brewer itself.
