He grew up playing in bands starting in junior high and high school. He started working at Moonlight Music in Encinitas when he was 16 and worked in the shop and gave guitar lessons there for 12 years. He met his future band mates from Earthless working at the guitar shop. He has played guitar with other acts such as The Black Crowes, Howlin Rain, Golden Void, Lady Dottie and the Diamonds, Candye Kane and Drunk Horse. Earthless recently passed their 20-year mark as a band and continues to tour the world and create new music. Isaiah Mitchell is a guitarist and vocalist known for being a member of the instrumental psychedelic rock band Earthless, which formed in 2001.
