Welcome guys and thanks for joining me in this cracker of a video. So my people we have just seen a wonderful spectacle of heavyweight boxing involving Lews and Klitshcko. A true classic between two legends of the division. So the heavyweight championship fight between Vitali Klitschko from Ukraine and Lennox Lewis from Great Britain took place on June 21, 2003, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, USA. It was a highly anticipated bout between the reigning champion Lennox Lewis and the challenger Vitali Klitschko. The fight as you've just seen was intense and competitive, with both fighters landing significant blows. In this heavyweight clash the best punch I observed from Klitschko was his right cross and for Lewis I believe it was his stiff Jab. Klitschko started strong and was ahead on the judges' scorecards when the fight was stopped after the sixth round. The reason for the stoppage was a severe cut above Klitschko's left eye, which was caused by a blow from Lewis and deemed too dangerous for Klitschko to continue by the ringside doctor. As a result, Lewis won the fight by TKO (technical knockout), retaining his WBC and The Ring heavyweight titles. The fight is remembered for its non-stop action, high drama and the display of heavyweight power from both boxers. Klitschko's performance was highly praised, and many fans and analysts called for a rematch, which never occurred as Lewis retired shortly after this bout. In my opinion, Klitschko was definitely ahead in that contest and had a better command of the range from which he was able to land his 1-2 combination well. Lewis going into the fight, had weight as his advantage and he used it behind a considerably stiff jab that was his best punch but in the sixth, I have to say he landed a stunner of an uppercut. I favored the efforts of Klitschko as he was the better boxer on the night but in Lewis' favour, a cut can always cause a premature lopsided ending to a free-flowing action packed fight.
