How I Evaluate Sermons

Before we begin evaluating real sermons, I want to be clear about the framework I'm using. In this video, I summarize what I mean by Christ-centered preaching and explain ideas like law and gospel, why every sermon needs to preach Christ and how it fits together. Many sermons are sincere, biblical and practical and yet still fail to produce lasting change. In this video I walk through the core questions I ask when listening to a sermon. My goal is not to tear down pastors and preachers, but rather to help the church recover confidence in the transforming power of the gospel.
