On the tensions brewing between India and Canada and the latter’s allegations of the Indian government’s involvement in the killing of pro-Khalistan activist Hardeep Singh Nijjar, Sherbir says, “Canada’s track record in dealing with Khalistani terrorism has been poor.” He adds that their “rhetoric and high-handed approach” is driven by their politics, as Canadian President Justin Trudeau’s government needs the support of Sikh MP Jagmeet Singh. Jayashree, however, points out that Canada’s allegations can’t be brushed aside because of the parallel case of the assassination of Gurpatwant Singh Pannun in the US. “The US has categorically stated and produced evidence that India used a gangster to assassinate a person on US soil.” This and more, tune in!
