After posting my mutton pulao recipe, I got many requests to post a recipe for chicken pulao in the instant pot. I went ahead and gave it try and the results were amazing. The recipe is broken down into two groups: making chicken yakhni or the chicken broth and cooking the rice in the broth. Check out the notes below! Don't forget to like and subscribe to my channel. Thanks for watching! Food Notes: Adjust the salt level to your liking. I recommend using 1 tsp for chicken and 1 tsp for each cup of rice. You can start off with less salt and add more after straining the broth. The broth should have a salty taste as it will be used to cook the rice. Always be sure to deglaze the pot after frying the onion and chicken. If there are any bits stuck at the bottom, you will get a burn notice. Ratio used here was 1 cup of rice to 1.25 cups of broth. As shown in the video, the rice should be an inch above the rice. You may add more broth to cover the rice but keep in mind too much broth will make your rice soggy. Ingredients: For the broth: water - 4 cups onion - 1 medium-sized cut into large chunks garlic cloves - 8 to 10 coriander seeds - 2 tbsp fennel seeds - 2 tbsp green cardamom 5-6 black cardamom - 2 to 3 cinanmon stick - 1 ( 2 inches long) peppercorn - 1 tsp cloves - 1/2 tsp bay leaves - 2 to 3 Salt : to taste or 3.5 to 4 tsp For the rice: 1/4 oil 1 sliced onion 1/2 tsp cumin 1 star anise 3-4 cardamom pods 2-3 dry red chilies (whole) 3 cups rice broth 3.75 cups 1/4 garam masala ginger garlic paste - 1.5 tbsp
