On April 24, 2013, more than 3,000 people reported to work in Rana Plaza factory building in Bangladesh. Most were garment workers making clothes for global brands. The building collapsed, killing 1,138 people and injuring over 2500. Two years later, what has changed in the garment industry in Bangladesh? In this video we hear from Nazma Akter, a garment industry labour leader fighting for fair pay; Monir Hossain, a factory manager losing business due to what he sees as unfair compliance regulations; members of a garment co-op formed by former Rana Plaza workers; and Sara Hossain, a barrister practising in the Supreme Court of Bangladesh who fights for worker's rights.
