First Details of the Next Wave of The High Republic Stories Revealed | Star Wars: The High Republic

StarWars.com just revealed the official descriptions for the first round of titles in Phase I, Wave II of the multi-platform epic, Star Wars: The High Republic. The release dives into plot details for novels, comics, and audio dramas that continue the story of an unimaginable galactic threat that strikes during the peak of the Jedi Order, centuries prior to the events of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. The announcement let's us know that the following stories will be dropping in Wave II: The High Republic #6, Star Wars Insider #203, Cavan Scott's The Rising Storm, Daniel José Older’s Race to Crashpoint Tower and his The High Republic Adventures #6, Justina Ireland’s Out of the Shadows, Cavan Scott story the audio novel Tempest Runner, Justina Ireland and Shima Shinya’s The Edge of Balance, and George Mann’s 8×8 Storybook, Showdown at the Fair. With Star Wars: The High Republic now here and Star Wars fans have been able to dive head first into this brand new era of the Star Wars timeline, exploring awesome stories, events, and interesting characters of the High Republic era. Ushering in this new era of the Star Wars Galaxy, Star Wars fans can now experience The High Republic in Charles Soule's Light of the Jedi, Claudia Gray's Into the Dark, Justina Ireland's A Test of Courage, Cavan Scott's Star Wars: The High Republic comic series, and Daniel José Older’s The High Republic Adventures comic series. With this new era in the Star Wars timeline, Star Wars fans get to explore the Star Wars galaxy and learn about characters such as Avar Kriss, Stellan Gios, Yoda, Elzar Mann, Geode, The Nihil and Marchion Ro, Leox Gyasi, Affie Hollow, Lina Soh, Reath Silas, Vernestra Rwoh, Qort, Farzala, Orla Jareni, Cohmac Vitus, and Imri Cantaros. This era takes Star Wars fans Jedi Temple on Coruscant during the time of The High Republic, as well as to Starlight Beacon in the Galactic Frontier. Along the way, Star Wars fans get to learn more and more about our boy, Geode, and that he's as skilled as a navigator as he is a party animal. Into the Dark provides Star Wars fans with an opportunity to see our homeboy, Geode, work alongside the Jedi during the events of the Great Disaster, first seen in Charles Soule's Light of the Jedi. At first, I was a little skeptical about Geode as a character, but by the end of Into the Dark, Geode had me, hook, line, and sinker. Gray did such a great job of utilizing Geode in such a masterful and entertaining way. Geode is just an all around fun character and is another example as to why The High Republic has been so enjoyable to dive into.
