(17 Dec 2009) STORYLINE STEENBURGEN WALK OF FAME Oscar winner Mary Steenburgen received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame Wednesday (16 DEC 2009) as her family and friends looked on. A native of Arkansas, Steenburgen rose to fame with her role as Lynda Dummar in the film "Melvin and Howard" (1980) for which she won an Oscar for Best Actress in a Supporting Role. Her recent films include "Open Roads," starring Jeff Bridges and Justin Timberlake and "The Proposal," starring Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds. Steenburgen will next be seen in "Did You Hear About the Morgan's?" which is being released on December 18. Her star is the 2,395th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and is located just a few steps from the star of her husband Ted Danson.
