The weather was wild, with driving wind, heavy rain and then a beautiful rainbow! Not only was this my first time using the Godox AD400 Pro II but it was also the first time I had used my new Sony A9III camera, with it's global shutter. When used together, this set-up offers a cheat code for off-camera flash. It allowed me to shoot at very fast shutter speeds whilst also having a lot of flash power. The AD400 offers 400ws of power, which is obviously twice that of the very popular AD200, although it can be plugged in for continuous power using the AC400 adapter, which is available as an extra, the great thing about this light is that it can easily be used out on location - giving you a lot of flash power in a compact unit. All the photographs in this video were taken on my Sony A9III camera with my Viltrox 85mm f1.4 and Sony 16-35mm f2.8 lenses.
