OIBA Outreach performance at Jacob Wismer Elementary School
Last Friday, Oregon International Ballet Academy (OIBA) had the wonderful opportunity to bring dance to Jacob Wismer Elementary School! Over 500 students joined us for a special outreach performance, where we shared excerpts of ballet and dance from different cultures. It was such a joyful experience to introduce young audiences to the beauty of movement and storytelling through dance. Moments like this remind us why community outreach is such an important part of OIBA’s mission. We believe dance should be accessible, inspiring, and shared with the community — especially with young students who may be experiencing ballet for the very first time. Seeing the excitement, curiosity, and big smiles from the students made the day truly unforgettable. Thank you to the teachers and staff at Jacob Wismer Elementary for welcoming us so warmly!
