On January 14, 2025 in Florida, officers responded to MacDill Air Force Base after a woman sped through a guarded gate. Several military soldiers reported that she drove around the roundabout, went around orange cones placed near the gate, and did not slow down as she passed through at roughly 35MPH despite soldiers yelling at her to stop. The soldiers turned on their emergency lights and blockades, and the woman then stopped approximately 150 feet beyond the gate. When they made contact with her, they noticed that the woman had glossy eyes, a strong odor of alcohol, and was in possession of an open container of alcohol. Officers arrived shortly thereafter as the woman was being held in military police custody. This is police footage of the events that followed.
