Performed by: Alon Ilsar Audio Visual Design by: Matthew Hughes Composers: Greg Seiler and Alon Ilsar AirSticks designed by: Mark Havryliv and Alon Ilsar Synopsis Man, body, music and light as one. A cutting-edge fusion of technology, music, and visual arts, Melbourne Fringe audiences have an opportunity to experience screen artist and percussionist Alon Ilsar perform his 60-minute show, Trigger Happy: Visualised. Working together with visual artist and programmer Matt Hughes, who digitally visualises Alon's music live, Alon seemingly pulls shapes, colours, and textures out of thin air with hypnotic, pulsing beats, using his body as an invisible drum kit. You haven't seen anything like this. Alon Ilsar brings music from Comatone & Foley's Trigger Happy releases to life, utilising his custom design audio-visual instrument, the AirSticks, projecting visuals onto a transparent screen separating Alon from the audience. The result is mesmerising. Alon Ilsar has performed with actor/performer Alan Cumming live in New York's MET Museum and at Splendour In The Grass alongisde The Thundamentals. This project is amplified by Melbourne Fringe through the Cash for Creatives program. Reviews “Man, body, music, and light as one... A perfect amalgam between man-machine.” (Amnplify Magazine) ... an incredibly slick and excitingly choreographed performance that saw him ringed in a spinning vortex of colour projected onto a scrim, his every movement mirrored instantly in spectacular sound and visuals.’ (Limelight) "..like peeking around the corner of the time-space continuum and glimpsing the future." - The Sydney Morning Herald https://alonilsar.com/triggerhappy/
