So, uh, yeah... Not a bad FBFC, I guess... Good Andrew (G.A. from here on out) was content to live his life without a guitar FC of this song. That was until a bet changed everything. A few weeks ago, G.A. and I were playing Charlene (I'm Right Behind You) by Stephen and the Colberts and he had the audacity to tell me he didn't think I could beat his massive score on that song. So the terms were set: He beats my score - He gets to go on a date with my sister and she's obligated to put out. I beat his score - I pick a song he has to FC and if he fails... I get my way with his sister. Much to his shock, I beat his Charlene score and challenged him to OBTS. G.A. cares about his sister so much that he actually spent a few minutes learning that pesky solo and that's how that happened. A wild Lewis has appeared!!! Amazing story, Lewis was doing some work for Habitat for Humanity in the Darfur region of Sudan and was tragically kidnapped by guerrilla forces who held him hostage for quite some time. (This is why it has been ages since he has appeared in a FBFC). As a team, we felt it would be our obligation to come up with a solution that would save Lewis' life, or at least get him out of there quick enough that he wouldn't get AIDS. As it turns out, Sudanese warlords are big fans of our channel and were willing to release Lewis from captivity on the condition that he make something amazing happen. (We checked, this is an acceptable accomplishment). Can't say enough good things about Lance. He's really tall, willing to sing Great White, and encouraged productivity by threats to take a shot of tequila every time the song was restarted. As soon as the recording was completed, Lance was promptly rushed to a local hospital to have his stomach pumped. Good thing it didn't take another 5 tries, poor Lance might not be with us if it had. (PS Thanks for picking up the vox from me). James set an amazing example to the rest of the group by not missing a single time during the sessions. Seriously, he did not have a series of early run overhits that were nearly as inexplicable as they were aggravating. James is amazing and I think everyone reading this wishes they could be him. Or at least sound as cool as him when they call someone a "fucking wanker". (If you haven't heard this, you haven't lived). Shoutout to Mr. Yodaboda - He participated in the initial attempts at this and was willing to grind to the bitter end without complaint.
