Miami warehouse fire continues to burn, leading to air quality concerns

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue crews remain on scene Friday morning as a massive commercial fire continues to burn. Officials say the response has stretched through the night and will likely continue for several days as firefighters work to keep the flames contained near NW 206th Street and 47th Avenue. Assistant Chief of Emergency Response Jason Richard said around 100 firefighters, along with operations and support personnel, are actively working to hold the fire within the original building. “We continued our operations overnight to contain the fire to the original occupancy, and those efforts will continue throughout the next several days,” Richard said. “We’re working to, again, contain the fire to the building.
