Day Hike, Testing New Gear and My Custom Atom 35 Pack First Look, Halloween 2020

Went out for a day hike to enjoy some nice weather and to test out some new gear. The biggest and most important piece of gear I tested was my custom Atom 35 pack. I packed my heaviest combo of 3 season gear, which has a BPW of 4.7kg/10.4lbs. Then I added full water bottles and stuffed my food bag with some heavy stuff to approximate a full food bag. The total pack weight was 7.6kg/16.7lbs, and the pack handled pretty great! The options/mods I went with are: all black Robic, 500D nylon bottom with no bottom pocket, two shoulder pockets (and made slightly larger than stock), no hip belt, bullet hole front pocket, and a strip of Robic under the front pocket to protect it from abrasion. The pack itself weighs 445g/15.7oz, which includes an MLD sternum strap, but I removed the front pocket elastic cord and ice axe loops. They resolved these issues and did so with great communication.
