The Power of Praying Together There is something deeply sacred that happens when God’s people pray together. Jesus Himself promised us in Matthew 18:20, “For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” When we join our hearts in prayer, we are not alone in our struggles. We become part of a chorus of faith that echoes through eternity. I share this prayer because I know what it feels like to stand in the waiting room of life, wondering if God has forgotten my name. I know the weight of unanswered prayers and the ache of delayed promises. And I’ve learned that in those moments, we need more than our own strength we need the faith of others to hold us up when ours grows weak. When you pray this prayer, know that you’re joining countless others who have stood exactly where you’re standing, who have felt exactly what you’re feeling, and who have discovered that God’s faithfulness is real, even when it’s not immediate. Wisdom for the Waiting Season Let me share some wisdom the Lord has taught me through my own valleys of waiting: God’s timeline is not a reflection of His love. Just because He hasn’t answered yet doesn’t mean He’s not listening. Sometimes the greatest miracles require the longest preparations. Lazarus had to be in the tomb for four days before Jesus arrived not because Jesus was late, but because God was setting the stage for a resurrection that would bring Him greater glory. Your faith doesn’t have to be perfect to be powerful. Martha had faith mixed with questions, hope mingled with doubt. Yet Jesus honored her faith and raised her brother from the dead. God isn’t looking for perfect faith; He’s looking for sincere faith, for hearts that choose to believe even when belief is costly. Waiting is not wasted time. Every moment you spend in the valley is shaping you, strengthening you, deepening your roots in Christ. The waiting season is where our character is refined and our dependence on God becomes real, not theoretical. Don’t despise the waiting it’s where some of God’s most beautiful work happens in us. You are not alone in the darkness. When you feel isolated in your struggle, remember that God’s people throughout history have walked this same path. Abraham waited for Isaac. Hannah waited for Samuel. Elizabeth waited for John. David waited for the throne. And Jesus—our Savior—waited in the tomb before His resurrection. You are in good company. A Word to My Children and Future Generations To my precious children and to all who will read these words in days to come: I want you to know that faith is not the absence of doubt it’s the decision to trust God in spite of doubt. Life will bring you seasons when God’s promises seem distant and your prayers seem to bounce off the ceiling. In those moments, I pray you’ll remember this song, remember this prayer, and remember that your mama (or your brother or sister in Christ who wrote these words) stood in that same place and chose to believe. Don’t be afraid of the waiting seasons. They’re not evidence that God has abandoned you; they’re opportunities for your faith to grow deep roots that will sustain you through every storm life brings. The faith that survives the waiting is the faith that will carry you through anything. The Christian life is not a solo journey. We were never meant to carry our burdens alone or pray our prayers in isolation. When we share our hearts, our struggles, and our prayers with one another, we build each other up in faith. We remind each other of God’s character when our circumstances try to convince us otherwise. This prayer is my gift to you—a gift born from my own wrestling with God, my own nights of tears, my own journey from doubt to declaration. Receive it. Pray it. Share it. And watch how God meets you in your “even now” moments with His unchanging faithfulness. He who began a good work in you will be faithful to complete it. Even now, believe it. Even now, receive it.
