I’m 40 and spent the past year trying to learn art from scratch. I failed GCSE Art at school, avoided drawing for years, and finally decided to try again as an adult beginner. This video shows my honest 1 year progress journey. The good, the bad and the very very ugly. My goal isn’t perfection (ok, maybe a little, but I’m working on it). It’s rebuilding a creative life after years of not making anything. If you’re an adult beginner trying to get back into creativity, this is for you. 📌 What’s inside • First attempts vs later work • Why pastel pencils worked for me • Struggles with acrylics & oils • How I stayed motivated as an adult learner 🎯 My creative mission: Scroll less. Create more. I’m documenting learning saxophone, art, and hopefully one day stop motion animation as a 40-year-old beginner to show real progress. If you’re starting (or restarting) creativity as an adult, subscribe and join me. 📷 Unsplash Reference Images: Red Panda Photo by Xiangkun ZHU https://unsplash.com/photos/a-red-pan...
