Through Institute for Justice efforts, the Flathead Warming Center remains open permanently
Institute for Justice represented The Flathead Warming Center free of charge when the city revoked our Conditional Use Permit unconstitutionally. Through their efforts FWC was granted a preliminary injunction to be open throughout the 2024-2025 winter season for overnight shelter. Following that, the center and the city reached an agreement that recognized FWC's right to use its property as a homeless shelter and to stay open permanently. For more information visit www.ij.org.
