If you are looking for a quality Backpacking Top Quilt but don't want to spend the $300-$400 they typically cost, then check out this review for the Featherstone Moondance 25 Top Quilt. This is a high quality quilt that competes with Feathered Friends, Enlightened Equipment for quality, warmth, weight and more. And to top it all off it is only $179 (at time of recording). It is ISO certifyed to 36 degree comfort rating with a 26 degree Limit rating. (-4 Extreme rating). It features DownTek 850 Fill down, and only weighs 23 oz for the quilt alone.
