Composer: Luna Umegaki Notes: The resistance base theme. It uses a slowed down and extended version of Esperanto's leitmotif. The main melody is in channels 3 and 4. My favorite part, however, is channel 2. It's hard to hear compared to the louder melody, but it's surprisingly complex. It reminds me of an acoustic guitar solo. Seeing how Esperanto's leitmotif has been used for Holy Land and Freesia, it's clear that there's a lot of emotion packed into it. The gentle sound of channel 5's notes also adds to the atmosphere of this song. That atmosphere being the feeling of sanctity surrounding the base, where Ciel, Zero, and the others spend some precious moments of peace before the inevitable final battle. What do you think of this deconstruction? Let me know in the comments.
