In 1995, she appeared in ‘Yaarana’ and ‘Raja.’ The latter was a blockbuster of the year. She received her fourth ‘Filmare Award’ for her performance in ‘Dil To Pagal Hai,’ which was a major hit. She received critical acclaim for her performance in ‘Mrityudand,’ and was lauded for her role in ‘Lajja.’ She won another ‘Filmfare Award’ in the ‘Supporting Actress’ category for ‘Devdas,’ where she portrayed Chandramukhi. She took a break from acting and made a comeback with ‘Aaja Nachle,’ that was commercially unsuccessful but Dixit’s performance was praised.
