Virginia Littlejohn has played a leadership role in national and international efforts to support women entrepreneurs for decades. Even after the 1974 passage of the Equal Credit Opportunity Act, women still had to get a male co-signer for business loans. In this video, Littlejohn describes the late 1970s and 1980s evolution of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) and how they came to serve as a key architect of the 1988 Women’s Business Ownership Act, or H.R. 5050, to address the issue.
