Sunway Square Mall is one of the newest shopping malls in Petaling Jaya, having opened just last December. I was curious to see what it was really like—especially after hearing about Sunway South Key Lake and wondering whether it was accessible to the public. In this video, I explore Sunway Square Mall in Petaling Jaya and share my first impressions. Unlike many large Klang Valley malls, this one isn’t focused on fashion retail. Instead, it offers a wide range of food options, cafes, services, and lifestyle activities such as indoor rock-wall climbing. What truly surprised me was how crowded it was—on a Wednesday, no less—with restaurants and cafés packed, mostly with a young crowd likely from nearby universities and residences. After making my way through the impressive BookXcess—featuring a maze of books, a chrome motorcycle, and even a marine skeleton—I finally reached Sunway South Key Lake.
