JAMIA MASJID IS THE FIRST MASJID IN HONG KONG. According to the official records at Antiquities and Monuments Office the Muslim Mosque known as Lascar temple was built in 1849. This is the first mosque in Hong Kong. The Mosque is of rectangular shape with an arched main entrance and arched windows of Arabic style on all sides.
