Have about a week in Nagasaki? Here are some things you can add to your itinerary! Day 1 I first made my way to the tourist center to see what's in the area. As I entered the building I saw posters of cute fruit-shaped bus stops hanging from the ceiling and immediately decided on my first destination. After an hourish long bus ride, I found myself kinda in the middle of nowhere but had no time to waste. I had to go seek out each fruit (🍊🍓🍈🍅🍉) and then catch the last train back to the city. The night ended with me taking a ropeway to Mt. Inasa Overlook to take in the view of Nagasaki's night cityscape. Day 2 The next morning, I walked to Fukusaiji Temple to look at a big Kannon Statue which is standing on a Giant Turtle and overlooking the city. From the afternoon, I made my way to the Atomic Bomb Museum and the National Peace Memorial Hall for Atomic Bomb Victims. I then walked over to the nearby Peace Park where I got to see the Fountain of Peace, the Peace Bell, and the Peace Statue. I finished the day with exploring Chinatown. I really like how they had the correct Auspicious Beasts at the entrance/exit for each cardinal direction! Day 3 I made my way to Koshibyo Confucius Shrine and Historical Museum of China in the late morning. I then stopped by the Prefectural Art Museum, followed some dinosaur statues along the streets, which eventually led me to the City Dinosaur Museum! They really went all out with the playground in front of the museum lol. Day 4 At last, I was finally able to attend the tour to see Hashima Island (Gunkanjima - Battleship Island). I got to the rendezvous point an hour early because I didn't want to be late. I explored the European style area and grabbed some castella at a local cafe before my check-in time. Before we set sail, everyone must first visit Gunkanjima Digital Museum to get backstory, briefing, etc. After about 2 hrs. everyone walked together to the nearby pier and waited to board!! the captain was very welcoming; even circling the island, stopping, and allowing guests to take as many pictures + videos as they like! *My main goal was to set foot on Gunkanjima. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to because the weather and waves were kind of rough (It's up to the captain's judgement). I will definitely want to return and hope I get to land. On the bright side, you will get charged accordingly. You are charged a bit extra if you DO land... #japan #japanvlog #nagasaki
