This episode is a My Classic Car treasure. Lost in the 2018 Malibu fires, the 1948 Norman Timbs Special was the only one of its kind ever made and is one of the wildest looking rides ever created. Its sweeping body lines flow elegantly from front to back, stretching more than 17 feet to cover its Buick Straight 8 Engine. Revered by car collectors around the world, this car was truly legendary. We’re fortunate to be able to show you this rolling artwork in action, cruising the hills of Southern California. But first, the 1953 Hudson Italia was a pillar of excellence in automotive design and another ultra-rare vintage car. This hand-built aluminum bodied Coupe was actually made in Italy, as the name suggests. Just 26 Italias were ever produced, but this was the only one with a 265 cu.in. Corvette engine.
